A Poughkeepsie man, Jeremy Davis, 31, is facing burglary charges following a foot chase on Tuesday evening (April 22). According to the City of Poughkeepsie Police Benevolent Association (PBA), officers were investigating drug activity when they attempted to interview Davis. Instead of cooperating, Davis fled, leading officers on a chase through a Dollar General store and several backyards. The pursuit ended when Davis entered a private residence while the occupants were at home, where he was subsequently taken into custody.

Davis, who is a convicted felon and currently on parole, is now awaiting arraignment on the charges. The incident highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address drug-related activities in the area.
