The Kingston City Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out on Saturday evening (April 26) at a multi-unit residence on West Pierpont Street in Kingston. Firefighters arrived to find flames emerging from the second and third floor windows. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, nearly a dozen off-duty firefighters were called in to help extinguish the blaze. All personnel were cleared from the scene by 11:30 p.m., but the cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.

According to News 12, the fire department is still working to determine what sparked the fire. This incident follows another recent fire in Kingston. On Thursday (April 24), a two-alarm fire severely damaged a home on Fourth Avenue, leaving it uninhabitable and injuring two residents. The cause of that fire is also under investigation.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. The fire department has not yet provided a timeline for when more information will be available.
