Kingston Fire Displaces Residents, Injures Firefighter

Residents of Kingston are displaced following an overnight fire on Cedar Street. The Kingston Fire Department responded to the call just before 1 a.m. on Friday (May 2). Crews arrived on the scene within two minutes to find smoke emanating from a multi-unit apartment building. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze in about 20 minutes.

However, the incident resulted in one firefighter being hospitalized and several residents being displaced. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. In the meantime, the American Red Cross is assisting those affected by arranging temporary housing.

The community is rallying to support those impacted by the fire, and local authorities are working diligently to determine the cause and prevent future incidents.
