A significant drug bust in Harlem Valley led to the arrest of 42-year-old Gregory Iozzo, suspected of dealing fentanyl and methamphetamine. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force conducted a months-long investigation in the Towns of Amenia, Dover, and Pawling, during which agents made multiple undercover purchases from Iozzo. On Thursday morning (May 8), task force agents, along with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Unit and Road Patrol, arrested Iozzo near his residence on White Farm Road in Dover without incident.

During the arrest, Iozzo was found in possession of methamphetamine. Authorities then executed a search warrant at his residence, uncovering additional evidence related to drug distribution. Iozzo was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a class B felony under New York State law. He was arraigned in the Town of Dover Court and is currently held in the Dutchess County Jail.

The operation aimed to disrupt the flow of dangerous drugs along the Metro-North Harlem line, a corridor frequently used by commuters. Detective Sergeant Adam Harris, Coordinator of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force, emphasized the ongoing efforts to prevent violent crime fueled by narcotics sales in the region. Additional charges against Iozzo are pending as the investigation continues.
