Kingston Police Arrest Suspect After Shooting Incident

Kingston police have arrested 28-year-old Anthony Harding Jr. following a shooting at the Stuyvesant Charter Apartments on Sheehan Lane. The incident occurred early Sunday morning (May 11), leaving a 27-year-old man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was initially treated at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston before being transferred to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for further care.

According to Mid Hudson News, Harding has been charged with felony assault and is currently held for arraignment. Kingston police, with assistance from the Town of Ulster and State Police, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, and the District Attorney’s Office, are continuing their investigation.

News10 ABC reports that the shooting was reported just after 5 a.m., and officers found the victim with gunshot wounds upon arrival.
