A Yonkers man, Peter Fabregas, was arrested earlier this month in Ulster County after a significant drug bust. On June 2, New York State Police stopped a 2010 Infiniti traveling northbound on Interstate 87 near Exit 19 in the town of Ulster. During the traffic stop, K9 Scotty alerted troopers to the presence of illegal substances in the vehicle.

Upon searching the car, troopers discovered approximately 322 grams of cocaine. Fabregas, age 35, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the State Police Kingston barracks for processing. He faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first, third, and fourth degrees, which are classified as Class A-I, B, and C felonies, respectively. He also faces several violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Fabregas was arraigned on June 3 in the Town of Ulster Court and is currently held in the Ulster County Jail without bail. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
