Congressman Pat Ryan has announced the July schedule for his mobile office, the Constituent Advocacy Resources Empowerment Services (C.A.R.E.S.) Van, which will visit various locations in New York's 18th Congressional District. The van will provide direct assistance with federal agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The C.A.R.E.S. Van will be in Marlboro on Friday (July 11), Poughkeepsie on Tuesday (July 15), and Pine Plains on Wednesday (July 16). Stops are also planned in Newburgh, Middletown, Wappingers Falls, and Beacon in the coming weeks. Ryan's office emphasizes that the van's services are crucial, especially in light of recent healthcare cuts and uncertainties caused by a GOP bill.
The C.A.R.E.S. Van, staffed by trained caseworkers, aims to help constituents with issues related to Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, and more. The initiative has already reached over 1,500 constituents, logging 3,341 miles and securing over $30 million in casework assistance for residents of the district.
Ryan encourages residents to take advantage of the services provided by the van. "Whether you need help navigating your Social Security benefits, have questions about your taxes, or are worried about your health care, my team is here to help," Ryan stated.
