More charges have been filed against Alan Depace, a former employee of J. Watson Bailey Middle School in Kingston, New York. Depace, 23, is accused of possessing child sex abuse materials. The investigation into Depace began with a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. According to the New York State Police, Depace was previously arrested on April 16, 2025, for unlawful surveillance and possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16. Authorities found numerous images and videos of child exploitation on his electronic devices. Depace was initially placed on unpaid administrative leave by the school district in May and was subsequently fired. He was processed at the State Police Kingston station and released with an appearance ticket for City of Kingston Court on May 6, 2025. The case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat child exploitation through cyber investigations.
