The Village of Rhinebeck in New York will conduct maintenance on water lines today, starting around 8 a.m. This work is expected to affect a limited number of homes and businesses. Residents in areas such as Rhinecliff Road, state Route 308, Montgomery Street, and East Market Street may experience temporary water discoloration once the maintenance is complete.

According to a press release from the village, the discoloration can typically be resolved by running water for a short period to flush the lines. The maintenance is part of regular efforts to ensure the water system's efficiency and safety.

Residents with questions or concerns can contact Superintendent of Public Works Kyle Eighmy at (845) 392-8026. The village has also advised that, during maintenance, some may experience reduced water pressure due to the flushing process, as noted on the village's website.
