Dutchess County Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

A tragic accident claimed the life of William Coulston, a 59-year-old resident of Millbrook on Saturday (March 14). Coulston was riding a 2025 Can-Am Spyder motorcycle when he crossed the center line on Salt Point Turnpike in Pleasant Valley, New York, and collided head-on with a Mercedes-Benz. The crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. near Van Wagner Road.

According to State Police reports, Coulston was traveling westbound when the accident happened. He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, where he was pronounced dead. Fortunately, the driver of the Mercedes was not injured.

The New York State Police are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Troop K’s Collision Reconstruction Unit are involved in the ongoing investigation.
